  • Ich hatte ein ähnliches Problem mit meiner ersten FE 450. Das anspringen des Motors verschlechterte sich zusehend bis sie zum Schluss gar nicht mehr angesprungen ist. Beim anschieben war sie dann sofort da.
    Ich habe dann von einer intakten FE alle Teile vom Anlassersystem getauscht, um im Ausschlussverfahren festzustellen, was kaputt ist. Es blieb so wie es war und es wurde nicht besser. Bis Bergos mir den Tipp gab, mal die Freilaufkupplung hinterm Schwungradl zu wechseln und schlagartig war das Problem behoben. Die Freilaufkupplungen gehen dann und wann und ganz allmählich gerne mal fest.

    @Stefano Mein Freilauf ist absolut frei, man hört das "nachrotieren" öfter und seidenweich.
    @CTPHSB10 Thank you. It is not fixed at all. But I get her back today...

    So wie es aussieht ist der Fehler gefunden: Auf dem Steuergerät war laut KTM Griesser (mein Händler des vollen Vertrauens!!) ein "abstruses Performance-Mapping" für irgend einen Rennauspuff. Das haben sie durch das letzterhältliche ersetzt - und die Berg soll nun auch im heißen Zustand "rennen". Schaue ich mir an!
    Nebenbei wurde auch noch eine geringe Ladespannung der Lima herausgefunden (nur ~13V). Ich wechsele den Stator.
    Das Alles war für mich selbst nicht mehr herausfindbar. Ich berichte aber noch final hier!

  • Gerade kam die Berg aus der Werkstatt bei mir an. Schlimmer als zuvor...
    Sie spuckt und läuft, wie ein junger Springbock. Wenn ich sie am "Leben" halten kann und sie heiß bekomme, springt sie gar nicht mehr an.
    Zurück zur Werkstatt - und echt maximale Frustration.

  • I would like to help more, but I am not understanding or aware of all the facts / historic of the bike. A need of change piston rings means there is a lot of oil consumption. Compression test could be checked first. A need of work in valves means there is a huge valve clearence or ware in rocking arms or valve seats... And that I can't understand as my HSB is doing an overhaul and after 475h without any tunning need... Are perfect!!!!! But start problems occurred when air filters are not cleaned as dust damage valve seats.
    If there is healthy spark plug and fuel and injector and main filter are new ... I would check first throttle tunning and possible obstruction of ... Fuel line filter. There where cases reported years ago of faulty inner filters inside fuel line before injector. Hope this help you... Before spend a lot of money.

    Ok, the mechanics told me it smokes blue. Please see the video for this, they took for me in their workshop.
    For me, the smoke is not much and could also be too much oil...
    They told me, it could be the valve stem seals and also the piston itself or piston rings.
    The Berg has only 6.572km with 297,5 hours. They make a lot of money with a complete engine overhaul...

    In my opinion the blue smoke is not the problem: Because the 570 is starting well when cold and having very smooth and stable engine running - but not restarting if hot!
    I am in fear, we revise the whole block, put it back into the frame - and have the same situation as before.
    So i bought a used stator for the alternater including pick up. Because thesy aso told me, the alternator produces only 13 V and the think, one coil is burnt.
    This change is something i can do by myself...
    And btw: The compression check is "only" around 6 bar, they told me... Is this too little?!

  • Sie hat ne Verdichtung von 12,2. Da sind 6 Bar schon echt wenig. Und "nur" 300 Std. ist halt nicht nur. Macht eine Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von 22,12 Km/H. Also bissle was zu tun hatte der Motor wohl. Bei meiner ist nach 268h auch nen neuer Kolben rein gekommen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Ok, danke für Deine Info! Laut Handbuch offensichtlich 90-100 psi. Das entspricht 6,2 bis 6,9 bar.
    Wie das innen drin aussieht weiß ich noch nicht. Die Werkstatt will mir aber die genauen Werte mitgeben.
    Alles in Allem möchte ich hier na klar nicht "rumhandeln". Doch ich habe das Gefühl, dass das schlechte heiße Anspringen so gar nicht viel mit dem Motor an sich zu tun hat.
    Läuft sie, hat sie ja echt Power und ist auch im Standgas ruhig und gleichmäßig...
    Mach ich sie heiß aus, funkt sie dann beim Restart nur sporadisch und spritzt ebenso nur sporadisch ein...

    I think you are correct of being afraid of still have the start problem after repairing the engine... It looks to me electric behaviour with temperature...
    If it runs it's not a fuel problem... Starting difficulties when hot can be electric but... They're right when they say there is already a compression issue due to piston rings (7 bars would be nice) and problems also due to valve ring seals or guides. 300 hours is about time to have a bit of all these problems. And don't forget timming chain!!!
    It's not an easy decision to open the engine head and block ... But it can avoid if in time catastrophic results.
    Anyway I think some critical work can be done with a valve kit(300)... Piston and rings kit(350)... And timing chain (150 ) . Maybe with this you can avoid... For now... THE big work to complete open engine to do connecting rod and bearings...
    It might look it has good power because.... A 570 always has it... (Even when it is sleeping).
    I also wonder if by checking the blinking lights on the dash board... Would be possible to find any trouble shooting code about... Some sensor fault?!...
